Finding our purpose and direction in life.

Nan Weber:

A friend of Loreto and sponsor of many building projects at the Center,  walked into Loreto one evening and asked us if we could use a house! Surprised and awed, as we had been praying for a place to house the expansion of the vision, we said YES! Part III of the vision includes the spreading of the word about this new "Pathway to Care" . This will include small care homes of up to three persons unrelated to you where you bring life and "hope where there is no hope"! So our theme for today is HOPE. We bring Hope where there is no Hope! Fr. Ron Mathews with Ed and Nan Weber will be co-hosting this blog.

We invite your responses to this blog where we will be bringing you not only, many options of care, but discussions of  topics dealing with care at the end of life and how you can get involved.

Fr. Ron Mathews:

"...and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us". (Romans 5:5) To say there is no hope, actually can encourage hope, since hope is not a dead body, but a living Word, God's Word, spoken in Jesus, His Son. At this Care Home named after Our Lady of Loreto, hope is possible, and is given, because Love is ever Present; no one is left alone; all are loved! Faith, Love, and Hope ... these three, the greatest is Love.  faith and hope are joined by a thread of the Love of God given to us. we look at hope today, since without it faith and love are weak.  those who are dying are often weak in hope, waiting for god to call them home.  it is vital to know that we are at home where god's children live.  we are given the opportunity to  engender hope where hope seems to be "in the wind."  The Holy Spirit will blow and refresh those with faith and love.  In our homes of life across america the wind blows powerfully and our hearts sing of the mercy of God!

Ed Weber:

One of the beautiful things about this New Pathway of care is that everyone can answer the call and get involved.  in the Sermon on he Mount Jesus said, Blessed are the Merciful for they will be shown Mercy. In St. Faustina's diary, "Divine Mercy In My Soul" our Lord told St. Faustins, "I demand from you deeds of mercy, which are to arise outof love for me. You are to show  mercy to your neighbors always and everywhere. You must not shrink from this or try to excuse yourself from it."  There are many ways in which we are called to be compassionate and show mercy through our actions. Hope can be given by just visiting the sick or the lonely. A caring smile can build their encouragement for another day.
